A.O Smith Hybrid Tankless/ Tank type model

I do not have a lot of information on these units but they will do a lot of water the 1st hr of service and good water the next few hrs of use. The great thing about these is they do not use a lot of gas which is a real draw back about the tankless when your installing in conditions that aren’t favorable to running new gas lines.     There have been so many innovations in water heating over the past 10 years. Until recently, electric water heaters were not very efficient.

    The new electric hybrid Heat Pump Water Heater from A.O. Smith shows a lot of promise with it’s claim of saving 50% on water heating costs. Same goes for Rheems hybrid water heater. Information on the Rheem hybrid can be found here http://www.theplumberwhocares.com/blog

    The Federal Tax Credit makes the hybrid water heaters an excellent option.
